Hello! My name is Allison Jones, Mathematics Instructor at the Commodore Conyers College &
Career Academy. I am a highly-qualified teacher with over 18 years of experience teaching a
variety of math courses from Basic Concepts of Mathematics to Advanced Algebra &
Trigonometry. I am a native of Albany, GA, a graduate of Dougherty Comprehensive High
School, and a devoted wife and mother.
I heard the call to become a teacher when I was just 10 years old. I have always had a love for
learning and a keen desire to help others. After completing high school, I attended Tennessee
State University in Nashville, Tennessee to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with
Teacher Certification for Grades 7 – 12. My next step in life led me to pursue a Master’s Degree
in Curriculum and Instruction from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, GA.
Throughout my career, I have worked in multiple school districts with students from various
backgrounds, differing ability levels, and a wide array of interests. Names, faces, and
circumstances have changed from year to year – but the one thing that remains the same is my
mission. My purpose is simply to help others expand their comprehension, confidence, and
character. If they happen to learn some mathematics along the way, then that is a plus! May it
multiply their opportunities immensely in college, career, and wherever life leads.
